The House
Pool
The pool must be closed and covered when unattended. Hooks at the far end secure the cover for permanent closure — ensure these are fully unhooked before opening the pool to prevent motor failure. To start the pool robot, press the button on the control unit in the pool cabinet. The pool is heated and maintained regularly.
Air Conditioning
Please keep all doors and windows closed when air conditioning is running. Controls are in each room. The system is efficient and will maintain your chosen temperature.
Terrace Door
The large terrace sliding door requires both hands. Place one hand on the handle and the other flat on the frame, guiding it smoothly behind the round pillar at the end of the kitchen counter. It glides fully open when correctly aligned — do not force.
Lighting
Main lighting is controlled by wall panels in each room. Exterior terrace and garden lighting switches are located by the kitchen door. Please turn off external lights when retiring for the evening.
Drinking Water
Please do not drink tap water. Bottled water is provided in the refrigerator and can be replenished from the local Spar or Carrefour.
Refrigerator
Please leave water in the refrigerator on departure — a small courtesy greatly appreciated by incoming guests.
Departure — Linen
Unless otherwise agreed, please strip all bed linen and towels on the morning of departure and leave them in the laundry room.
Food Delivery
Volt Eat delivers to Cap d'Antibes. Order via volteat.fr or the app. Delivery typically 30–45 minutes.
Doors & Keys
The house code on the main door keypad opens the front door. Enter the gate code on the keypad next to the main door to open the gate. In the top drawer of the kitchen you will find: (1) a gate remote control for use when arriving by car, and (2) a key to the kitchen door. Please ensure all doors are locked at departure — including all sliding doors and the basement door.
Blinds & Curtains
We recommend using the curtains on the first floor to prevent guests from walking into the glass panels accidentally. In the master bedroom, use the wall panel to close the exterior blinds during the day. Use remote control channel 0 to close the night blinds and block early morning light.
Toiletries
Toilet paper is provided throughout the villa. For hygiene reasons we do not provide personal items such as soap, toothpaste, or shampoo — please bring your own for personal use.

Waste & Recycling
Brown Bin
Food scraps and organic waste only. No packaging or plastic bags.
Yellow Bin
Recyclable packaging — plastics, cans, cardboard, cartons. Rinse items before placing.
Glass Bottles
Glass must not go in the bins. Take glass bottles to the nearby glass container.
Collection Schedule
General waste (brown): Monday–Saturday, 09:00–10:00. Recycling (yellow): Wednesday. Place bins at the gate by 08:45. Return bins the same day. Schedule subject to seasonal variation — confirm with caretaker on arrival.

History & Snorkelling
Roman Fish Farms
One of the Riviera's best-kept secrets. On the west coast of the Cap, just below the waterline, lie the stone walls of Roman piscinae — saltwater fish farms built by wealthy Romans in the 1st–2nd century AD to keep live moray eels, sea bream and mullet. The rectangular enclosures are still clearly visible and snorkelling above them feels genuinely ancient. Enter from the small rocky beach near Port de la Salis. The water is shallow, calm and clear. Wear shoes to the water's edge.

Getting There & Around
Recommended Journey Times to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE)
Allow 45 minutes from the villa under normal conditions. During July and August, traffic on the N7 and approaches to Nice can be significant — allow 75–90 minutes on summer mornings and Friday afternoons. Always add extra time for international departures requiring check-in and security.
Norwegian Air — Terminal 1
Norwegian Air Shuttle operates from Terminal 1 at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. Please check in at the Norwegian desks on the ground floor departures level. For passengers arriving on Norwegian, baggage claim and arrivals are also in Terminal 1.
Uber — From the Airport
Uber operates at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. The designated Uber and VTC meeting point is at Terminal 1: Exit T1, follow signs for “VTC / Uber” to the designated pick-up zone on the ground level. Typical journey to Villa Olivette: 35–50 minutes. Uber Black is available and recommended for luggage comfort.
